[೨] [೩] "ಪೆರ್ಮುದೆ" ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರು ಪೆರ್ಡ ಮುದ್ದೆ ( ತುಳು ಭಾಷೆ ) ಯಿಂದ ಬಂದಿದೆ, ಇದು ಒಂದು ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯವಾಗಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ಪಾದಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಹಾಲಿನ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖವಾಗಿದೆ. [೪] ಪೆರ್ಮುದೆ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ರಾಜಧಾನಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 360 ಕಿಲೋಮೀಟರ್ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. [೫] ಸಮೀಪದ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಜ್ಪೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕಿನ್ನಿಗೋಳಿ ಸೇರಿವೆ. [೬] 2011 ರ ಜನಗಣತಿಯ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಪೆರ್ಮುದೆ ಅವರ ಸ್ಥಳ ಕೋಡ್ ಅಥವಾ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಕೋಡ್ 617478 ಆಗಿದೆ. ಗ್ರಾಮವು 742.69 ಹೆಕ್ಟೇರ್ ಪ್ರದೇಶವನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಪೆರ್ಮುದೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿರುವ ಕುಡುಬಿಗಳು ಆದಿವಾಸಿ ಸಮುದಾಯ. ಅವರ ಪದ್ಧತಿಗಳು ಮಧ್ಯ ಭಾರತದ ಇತರ ಬುಡಕಟ್ಟುಗಳಂತೆಯೇ ಇರುತ್ತವೆ. [೧೧] 2011 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಪನಿಯು ಪೆರ್ಮುದೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗಡಿ ಗೋಡೆಯನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುವ MSEZ ಆಪರೇಟಿಂಗ್ ಕಂಪನಿಯ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವನ್ನು ಕುಡುಬಿ ಜನರು ವಿರೋಧಿಸಿದರು. [೧೨] [೧೩] ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದಿಂದ ಉಂಟಾದ ಜಮೀನುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಳೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಾನಿಯಾದ ವರದಿಯ ಪರಿಣಾಮವಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವನ್ನು ವಿರೋಧಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. [೧೪]
