ಕನ್ನೇಲಿ ಶಿಲಾಶಾಸನವು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ HALನ ಸಮೀಪದ ಸೋಮೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಮುಂಬಾಗದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಈ ಶಾಸನ ಸುಮಾರು ಕ್ರಿ.ಶ ೧೩೫೦ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದರ ಗಾತ್ರ 3'x2'6". ಇದು ಗ್ರಂಥ ಮತ್ತು ತಮಿಳು ಲಿಪಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೆ.

ಎಪಿಗ್ರಾಫಿಯ ಕರ್ನಾಟಿಕದ ಒಂಭತ್ತನೇ ಸಂಪುಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಶಾಸನವು BN72 ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಡಿ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿರುವ ಪಠ್ಯ ಈ ರೀತಿ ಇದೆ. [೧]

ಅರ್ಥ[ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿ]
(Tamil)- We, Pamma-battar and Sembu-battar, having received full payment in gold, gave to Pillaiyar full possession of the land and the house which had been ours for a long time and transferred to him the service for fifteen days……… in the temple of this god, which we had purchased form kulainja-battar. The signatures of Pamma-battar and Sembu-battar. Witnesses to the grant: Varadi-deva-kon and Sokkannan.
