ಟೆಂಪ್ಲೇಟು:Images of England/doc
This template is used in an article to provide a link to the Historic England — Images of England site (http://www.imagesofengland.org.uk/default.aspx) for a specified listed building or object in England. The site was set up to record only those buildings listed in England at the turn of the millennium.
Newer listings and changes to existing listings are not added to the Images of England database. For listed buildings that are not on the Images of England database (e.g. listed after 2000) and for those that have been revised since, use {{National Heritage List for England}}
to link to the National Heritage List for England. This has similar information, but without photographs, and uses a different numbering system.
Usage
[ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿ]- Unnamed parameters
- The first unnamed parameter is the Images of England building number (found by searching the Images of England Site, free registration needed).
- The second unnamed parameter, if specified, can be used to add additional text to the boilerplate description of the link, which is useful if there are several listed objects in an article.
- Named parameters
- date=date — the date provided by Historic England. Can be a full or partial date.
- year=value — the year provided by Historic England. Use of
|date=
is recommended; see Template:Cite web/doc#Date for proper usage. - orig-date=value — the date information was first provided by Historic England. Only appears if
|date=
or|year=
is also used. - accessdate=date — adds the date information was retrieved from the database.
- ref=value — defaults to author (Historic England) and the Images of England building number, but can be reset to any value.
- mode=value — sets element separator, default terminal punctuation, and certain capitalization according to the value provided. For
|mode=cs1
, the default, element separator is a semicolon (;
); terminal punctuation is a period (.
); where appropriate, initial letters of certain words are capitalized ('Retrieved...'). For|mode=cs2
, element separator is a comma (,
); terminal punctuation is omitted; where appropriate, initial letters of certain words are not capitalized ('retrieved...'). To override default terminal punctuation use ps. - ps=value — controls the closing punctuation for the citation; defaults to a period (
.
); for no terminating punctuation, specify|ps=none
– leaving|ps=
empty is the same as omitting it, but is ambiguous. - short=value — use
|short=yes
with the first unnamed parameter to produce an external link with just the list number shown.|short=yes
suppresses the display of other parameters.
