Name too vague?

Since in modern times, there are very few empires (if any!) isn't the name of the category too broad and uninformative? I don't think it is a good idea to move articles from more specific and informative categories like ವರ್ಗ:ಭಾರತದ ಸಾಮ್ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳು to this category. ಶುಶ್ರುತ ^{\ಮಾತು \ಕತೆ} ೦೪:೧೮, ೩೦ ಜೂನ್ ೨೦೦೯ (UTC)

This category is corresponding to en:Category:Former empires. Although, categories like ವರ್ಗ:ಭಾರತದ ಸಾಮ್ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳು are appropriate, they are very specific and also we would need a parent category for these categories. I feel that ವರ್ಗ:ಸಾಮ್ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳು would be an apt name as there are no modern Empires. Take a look at the en:Category:Empires - it has very few entries even though en wiki has millions of articles. We don't need to copy en wiki's category structure word for word. Our wiki only has a few thousand articles - they need more detailed cat structure because of the huge amount of articles they have.
