ಪುಡಿಕೆ ಅಥವಾ ಕಾಡುನೀರುಳ್ಳಿ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವ ಸಸ್ಯ,ಸ್ಟೀರಿಯೋಸ್ಪೆರ್ಮಮ್ ಚೆಲೋನಾಯ್ಡ್ಸ್ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಮತ್ತು ಆಗ್ನೇಯ ಏಷ್ಯಾಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯವಾಗಿ ಪತನಶೀಲ ಮರವಾಗಿದೆ. [೧] [೩]

ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದನ್ನು ಪಾತಾಳ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಇದು ಕ್ಯಾಲ್ಸಿಯಮ್ ಸಮೃದ್ಧವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಹಲವಾರು ಆಯುರ್ವೇದ ಔಷಧಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿದೆ.
