ಡೇವಿಡ್ ಫ್ರಾಲಿ(ಜನನ:೧೯೫೦, ಲಾ ಕ್ರಸ್ಸೊ, ವಿಸ್ಕಾನ್ಸಿನ್ ರಾಜ್ಯ, ಅಮೇರಿಕಾ ಸಂಯುಕ್ತ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನ) (ವಾಮದೇವ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿ) ಇವರು ಹಿಂದೂ ಧರ್ಮದ ಪ್ರತಿಪಾದಕರು, ಲೇಖಕರು, ಯೋಗ ಮತ್ತು ಆಯುರ್ವೇದದ ಲೇಖಕರು. ಇವರು ಅಮೇರಿಕಾ ದೇಶದ ನ್ಯೂ ಮೆಕ್ಸಿಕೋ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಸಾಂಟಾ ಫೇದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಮೇರಿಕದ ವೇದಾಧ್ಯಯನ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರು ಮತ್ತು ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು.
ಆರಂಭಿಕ ಜೀವನ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ
[ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿ]ಡೇವಿಡ್ ಫ್ರಾಲಿ ವಿಸ್ಕಾನ್ಸಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಕುಟುಂಬದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಒಂಬತ್ತು ಒಡಹುಟ್ಟಿದವರು ಇದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಮುಂಬೈನ ಡಾ. ಬಿ.ಎಲ್. ವಷ್ಟ ಅವರ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು ಒಂದು ದಶಕದ ಕಾಲ ಆಯುರ್ವೇದವನ್ನು ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಅವರು ನ್ಯೂ ಮೆಕ್ಸಿಕೋದ ಸಾಂತಾ ಫೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಇಂಟರ್ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಇನ್ಸ್ಟಿಟ್ಯೂಟ್ ಆಫ್ ಚೈನೀಸ್ ಮೆಡಿಸಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಕರೆಸ್ಪಾಂಡೆನ್ಸ್ ಕೋರ್ಸ್ ಮೂಲಕ "ಡಾಕ್ಟರ್ ಆಫ್ ಓರಿಯಂಟಲ್ ಮೆಡಿಸಿನ್" ಪದವಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದರು.[೧][೨]
ಜೀವನ
[ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿ]ಅವರು ಹಿಂದೂ ಧರ್ಮ , ವೇದಗಳು , ಯೋಗ ಕಲೆ , ಆಯುರ್ವೇದ ಮತ್ತು ಹಿಂದೂ ಜ್ಯೋತಿಷ್ಯದ ಕುರಿತು ಹಲವಾರು ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರ ಸೇವೆಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಭಾರತ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು 2015 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಪದ್ಮಭೂಷಣ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಿತು [೩].
