ಅವೆಗೆಂಪು - can you please re-check this in the dictionary? ಅವೆಗೆಂಪು or ನಸುಗೆಂಪು actually refers to infra-red (ಅವೆ + ಕೆಂಪು). ಅತಿನೇರಳೆ is in fact the correct translation for ultra-violet.

ತೀವ್ರತೆ - this actually refers to the intensity of light, and is an orthogonal concept to the visible/ultraviolet/infrared classifications. One can have UV light more intense than visible light, or vice versa. The correct sentence should convey that UV light has more frequency than visible light. The word for this is ಆವೃತ್ತಿ.
