The current transliteration of this into Kannada as ಚಾರಿಷನ್ is almost certainly wrong; the name should be pronounced as with other terms derived from a Greek origin, where the 'ch' represents the velar fricative. The nearest sound in languages that do not possess it is usually 'k' or sometimes 'h'. (e.g. in the Greek derived English words chorus, or character). And the 'tion' part is not analogous to those from the Latin derived 'nation' type words. Hence a better transliteration might be ಕರಿತಿಒನ್.
