Hi! I'm Scann. TL;DR: I'm passionate about opening up knowledge so more people can have access to it.

People know me by the name of "Scann" thanks to my participation in a very cool project that I wrote about in this book published by the MIT Press. I was part of the DIY Book Scanner project, that, among other work, led me to be a Harvard Fellow of the Library Innovation Lab in 2018. I'm a long-time member of Creative Commons, where I led the efforts during 2018-2020 to revitalize the OpenGLAM initiative, which received a 5 million dollar grant by the Arcadia Fund.

Currently I'm serving as the Senior Project Manager for Wikimedistas de Uruguay thanks to a Wikimedia Foundation grant.
