ಜುಲೈ ೨೦೧೧ ಕೋಬ್ (ಜಪಾನ್)ನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಡೆದ ಏಷ್ಯನ್ ಅಥ್ಲೆಟಿಕ್ಸ್ ಚಾಂಪಿಯನ್ಶಿಪ್‌ಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೊದಲು ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂವರ್ಧನ ಸ್ಟೀರಾಯ್ಡ್ಗಳು ಇರುವುದಾಗಿ ಬಂತು[೧೨]. ಇವರನ್ನು ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಿಂದ ಕೈಬಿಡಲಾಯಿತು ನಂತದದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಥ್ಲೆಟಿಕ್ಸ್ ತಂಡದಿಂದ ರದ್ದುಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಯಿತು, ಅವರು ಆರೋಪಗಳನ್ನುನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿದರ  ಆದರೆ ೨೩ ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ ೨೦೧೧ರಂದು ನಾಡ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಒಂದು ವರುಷದ ನಿಷೇಧ ಹೇರಿತು[೧೩]. ಆರ್ಬಿಟ್ರೇಷನ್ ಫಾರ್ ಸ್ಪೋರ್ಟ್ (ಸಿಎಎಸ್) ಇಂಟರ್ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಅಸೋಸಿಯೇಶನ್ ಆಫ್ ಅಥ್ಲೆಟಿಕ್ಸ್ ಒಕ್ಕೂಟಗಳು ಇವರಿಗೆ ಹಗುರವಾದ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ಕೊಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ಮನವಿಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಹಿಡಿಯಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಅಶ್ವಿನಿ ಸೇರಿ ೬ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಪಟುಗಳಿಗೆ (ಮನ್ದೀಪ್ ಕೌರ್, ಸಿನಿ ಜೋಸ್, ಜೌನ ಮರ್ಮು, ಟಿಯಾನಾ ಮೇರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಿಯಾಂಕಾ ಪವಾರ್) ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷದ ನಿಷೇಧ ಹೇರಿತು.[೧೪]

ಇಅವರಿಗೆ ೨೦೧೦ರಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ನೀಡಿದ  ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ, ಒಂದು ನೂರು ಸಾವಿರ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ನಗದು ಬಹುಮಾನ, ಒಂದು ೨೦ಗ್ರಾಮ್ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕ ಮತ್ತು ಒಂದು ಅನುದಾನ ಆದ್ಯತೆ ಹಂಚಿಕೆ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂಲಕ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರ (ಬಿ.ಡಿ.ಏ)ಯಿಂದ ಮನೆ ನಿವೇಶನವನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿದೆ.[೧೫] ಇವರಿಗೆ ಆರ್ಥಿಕವಾಗಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರಗಳು ಬಹುಮಾನ ನೀಡಿವೆ ಹಾಗೂ ೨೦೧೦ರಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕ ಗೆದ್ದಿದಕ್ಕೆ ಭಾರತೀಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಸಹ ಬಹುಮಾನವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದೆ.[೧೬][೧೭][೧೮][೧೯]
