ಅಳಿಸುವಿಕೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದವರು ಬರೆದ ಟಿಪ್ಪಣಿ ಹೀಗಿತ್ತು -ಸದಸ್ಯರ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಪುಟವನ್ನೇ ವಿಕಿ ಲೇಖನ ಮಾಡಿದಂತಿದೆ. ಈ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖ ನೀಡಿಲ್ಲ. ನಾನು ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ವಿಷಯಗಳಿವೆ. ಮೊದಲನೆಯದಾಗಿ ಸದಸ್ಯ ಪುಟವನ್ನೇ ವಿಕಿಪೀಡಿಯ ಲೇಖನವನ್ನಾಗಿಸಿದ್ದು. ಇದು ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲ. ವಿಕಿಪೀಡಿಯ ಲೇಖನ ಶೈಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸದಸ್ಯರ ಪರಿಚಯ ಪುಟ (ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಪುಟ) ಎರಡೂ ಒಂದೇ ಆಗಲು ಸಾದ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಅದನ್ನು ವಿಕಿಪೀಡಿಯ ಶೈಲಿಗೆ ನೀವು ಬದಲಿಸಬೇಕು. ಇನ್ನು ಎರಡನೆಯದಾಗಿ ಈ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಏನು ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯ. ವಿಕಿಪೀಡಿಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾವಿರ ಲೇಖನ ಸೇರಿಸಿದ ಮಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿಕಿಪೀಡಿಯದಲ್ಲೇ ಪರಿಚಯಾತ್ಮಕ ಲೇಖನ ಸೇರಿಸುವ ಪದ್ಧತಿ ವಿಕಿಪೀಡಿಯದಲ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಾಗಿ, ಅಥವಾ ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವಕರಾಗಿ, ಅಥವಾ ಲೇಖಕರಾಗಿ, ಅಥವಾ ಇನ್ಯಾವುದೇ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಮನಾರ್ಹ ಸಾಧನೆ ಇದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಗಳು ಇದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗ ಮಾತ್ರ ಅವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿಕಿಪೀಡಿಯ ಲೇಖನ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು. ಜೀವಂತ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳ ಪರಿಚಯಾತ್ಮಕ ಲೇಖನ ಮಾಡುವ ನೀತಿ ನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ಈ ಪುಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಓದಬಹುದು. ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಒಂದು ಲೇಖನವನ್ನು ಅಳಿಸಲು ಹಾಕಿದಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಸೂಚನೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಬಾರದು. ಆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕ ಚರ್ಚೆ ಪುಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಯಾಕೆ ಅಳಿಸಬಾರದು ಎಂದು ಚರ್ಚೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಆ ಚರ್ಚಾ ಪುಟ ಇಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಆ ಲೇಖನವನ್ನು ಯಾಕೆ ಅಳಿಸಬಾರದು ಎಂದು ಕಾರಣವನ್ನು ಈ ಪುಟದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ನೀಡಬೇಕು. {{ಅಳಿಸುವಿಕೆ}} ಎಂಬ ಟೆಂಪ್ಲೇಟನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಬಾರದು.

Geographical Indications in India Edit-a-thon 2016 has started, here are a few updates:

From A2K Documenting Rural Women's Lifestyle & Culture at Jeevan Jyoti Women Empowerment Centre Open knowledge repository on Biodiversity & Forest Management for Tribal communities in Collaboration with Tribal Research & Training Institute(TRTI), Pune Telugu Wikipedia reading list is created with more than 550 articles to encourage discourse and research about Telugu Wikipedia content. To address gender gap in participation, a workshop for women writers and literary enthusiasts was conducted in Visakhapatnam under Telugu Wikipedia Mahilavaranam. 18 journalists from Sambad Media house joined together with Odia Wikipedians to create articles on Women's health, hyiegene and social issues. Santali Wikipedians along with Odia Wikipedians organised the first Santali Wikipedia workshop in India. Wikimedia Technical workshop for Kannada Wikipedians to help them understand Wikimedia Tools, Gadgets and Auto Wiki Browser Women and Craft Edit-a-thon, to archive the Women achievers in the field of art and craft on Kannada Wikipedia. In other News CIS-A2K has submitted its annual Work-plan for the year 2018-19 to the APG. Project Tiger has crossed 3077 articles with Punjabi community leading with 868 articles.
