Ramesh Gongadi currently oversees Kalike initiative a direct intervention by Sir Ratan Tata Trust and Nawajbai Ratan Tata Trust as a . Ramesh has more than 10 years experience in the development sector. He has worked with grassroots implementing agencies, support/monitor agencies, and mainly in the field of Education and Health related interventions. Ramesh’s core interests are elementary education, health and community development. Under elementary education he has worked with Learning Improvement Program, Early Child Care and Education, School Health and Sanitation, Strengthening School Development and Management Committees, Nali Kali Intervention, Proficiency In English Program, Research and studies and worked with district and sub district level education structures During his tenure he worked with Child line 1098 program in YMCA Mangalore, with CBSE schools under School Neighborhood Friendship Program of Barely Diocesan Social Service Society, Uttar Khand state, worked with Diocesan Social Service Centres under Karnataka Regional Organization for Social Services (KROSS) Bangalore. Ramesh has rich experience working with the HIV and Health related interventions supported by BIRDS Belgaum, KHPT, NACO and KSAPS in the field of training, monitoring and evaluations. He also Participated in KSAPS annual Targeted Interventions (TIs) evaluation as an External Evaluator conducted by NACO (in the months of April and November 2009) and evaluated nine projects (5 FSW, 2 MSM, 1 IDU and 1 Migrant projects). Ramesh has a Bachelor degree in Social Work from Karnataka University Dharwad and Master’s in Social Work from School of Social Work, Mangalore

His present role is to assist Senior Program personnel at the Sir Ratan Tata Trust, especially the Executive Director, Karnataka initiatives of Trust in developing and supporting towards implementing KSU initiative in the district, The job entails working, both independently and as a part of the Team; planning and implementing programs, coordinating with district officials, NGOs and other stakeholders working in the area of elementary education; guiding, supporting and mentoring Block Coordinators and Program Associates; evaluation and analysis of project progress; documentation, reporting and monitoring.
