ಐಬುಪ್ರೊಫೇನ್ ನೋವು, ಜ್ವರ ಮತ್ತು ಉರಿಯೂತಕ್ಕೆ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನೀಡಲು ಬಳಸುವ ನಾನ್ ಸ್ಟೆರೊಯ್ಡೆಲ್ ಆಂಟಿ-ಇನ್ಫ್ಲಮೇಟರಿ ಡ್ರಗ್ (NSAID) ವರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಔಷಧಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.[೭] ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಟ್ಟಿನ ಅವಧಿಯ ನೋವುಗಳು, ಮೈಗ್ರೇನ್ ಮತ್ತು ರುಮಟಾಯ್ಡ್ ಸಂಧಿವಾತ ಸೇರಿವೆ.[೭] ಅಕಾಲಿಕ ಶಿಶುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪೇಟೆಂಟ್ ಡಕ್ಟಸ್ ಆರ್ಟೆರಿಯೊಸಸ್ ಅನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಲು ಸಹ ಇದನ್ನು ಬಳಸಬಹುದು.[೭] ಇದನ್ನು ಬಾಯಿಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಅಥವಾ ಅಭಿದಮನಿ ಮೂಲಕ ಬಳಸಬಹುದು.[೭] ಇದು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಒಂದು ಗಂಟೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.[೭]
